Can someone show me a clear picture that shows the difference between a “figure 8″ harness, and a “H-shaped harness”?

The figure 8 can be squirmed out of and you may lose your cat in an emergency. The figure H is more secure, though some cats can get out of those as well, it would just take them longer.

A figure H usually has two buckles, one for the collar, one for the section around the chest.

The figure 8 usually only has one and the neck area slides through a constricting area so you size it to the cat by adjusting the neck area first, then tightening up the band where it goes around the chest.
